Jim Matheis is another star addition to the Oral IV Obstacle Course Racing team. As if a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts training wasn’t enough for Jim, he has found great success in the world of OCR. The Florida-based athlete and father began competing in OCR back in 2009 and has been a consistent top-10 finisher in Spartan Race elite waves and top 5 in other OCR organizations. One might not see the similarities when it comes to combat sports and OCR, but Jim has been able to find a successful parallel. “One-on-one combat sports gives you a bit of a mental edge when it comes to OCR.” Jim is a religious user of Oral IV as he believes it improves concentration and focus, especially when exhaustion sets in from dehydration. Whether hurdling obstacles or submitting opponents, Jim does it all well-hydrated thanks to Oral IV.
